Easily Boost Pinterest Reach With Tailwind Tribes

Tailwind Tribes for Pinterest ReachPublished on: April 27, 2019

Summary:Tailwind is a scheduling tool for Pinterest, but with the addition of Tailwind Tribes, bloggers can do so much more.

What Is Tailwind?

It’s only the best Pinterest scheduling app for bloggers to increase their reach and engagement. On its own, Tailwind is a scheduling tool for Pinterest, but with the addition of Tailwind Tribes, bloggers can do so much more. With the new update, this content scheduling tool gives bloggers some serious functionality beyond creating a simple posting schedule.

In this post, I’ll be sharing key advice on how to use the Tailwind Tribes feature to share my blog content to audiences organically and revealing some of my best kept secrets to building a profitable Pinterest following as well.

How Can I Use Tailwind?

Tailwinds is like any other Pinterest scheduling app designed to help make managing your content schedule easy and less time consuming. With it, you can schedule all of your pins at just the right time (for your market and target audience) and take the stress out of pinning every single day to promote your blog.

What Is The New Tailwind Tribes Feature?

Tailwind Tribes is an online community, usually made up of bloggers and influencers in a similar market/niche sharing each other’s content. If you have ever been in a comment or engagement pod, then you may be familiar with this setup. Tailwind Tribes gives a similar feel but much more sophistication. The idea is for you to share your blog posts and other content (infographics, guest posts, etc) to the Tribe. If the community (often called Tribemates) likes your content, they share it their Pinterest Boards for their audience to see as well.

The benefit is that you get more exposure and have the chance to introduce your audience to relevant bloggers and content makers as well. This is collaborative marketing at its finest and is a feature exclusive to Tailwind Tribes. Let me be among the first to tell you that this strategy works!

Let me show you how I use Tailwind Tribes for my blog and how easily you can do the same.

My blog is specific to affiliate marketers and people looking to make money online (either as a side business or full-time career). So using my target market, I go into my Tailwind account and find a tribe I want to share my content with.

Once I make a selection, I will share an infographic that covers how to know when it’s time to leave your 9-5 and make affiliate marketing your full-time career. And since people doing affiliate marketing are often bloggers as well, I’ll be sure to add a blogger-focused tribe to my target market so they can get exposure to my content as well. Then, I will share my content and wait for my Tribemates to share it with their audiences as well.

And viola. I just took my content and got it in front of more people than I would have by simply leveraging my connections and community via the Tailwind Tribes.

It goes without saying that using this tool has increased the number of people who see my content. Using my Tribemates audiences, I have the chance to get more people to like my shared content, click through it to find my original Pinterest Board, re-pin, etc. The list of possibilities is endless.

In this example, I only shared my content with two Tailwind Tribes. Imagine what you could do by sharing it to 5 Tribes in your niche. Or 10 tribes. Or even 25 tribes. The growth potential would be exponential at that point.

How Can I Join Tailwind Tribes?

Joining is easy and it starts with your email. You can go about it one of two ways. The first way you can join Tailwind Tribes is you can send your email address to a tribe creator (person who started the tribe you are interested in) and they can add you directly. The second way is to use a tribe creator’s link (just click the link and follow instructions for consideration).

You get access to all this information after you join Tailwind Tribes. Once you’re a member, you will see a menu on the left side of the screen. That is your Tribes menu. Clicking on it will take you to your Tribes’ options.

How Do I Know Which Tailwind Tribe Is Right For My Business?

If you hate overwhelm like I do, then you’re in luck. This app makes it very easy to find the best tribes to share content with. It used to be that finding the right tribe for your business was like trying to score an invite to a high-stakes poker tournament.  Users could not even find tribes because they were not publicly searchable.

However, now you can use the “Find a Tribe” tool located on the Tailwind Tribes Dashboard.

There are even categories that you can browse for and connect with people across many different niches and markets. I’ve provided an example below:

How Much Does It Cost To Be A Tailwind Tribes Member?

The good news is this: You do not have to be a paid member to access some of the cool features Tailwind Tribes provides. You will need to open an account with Tailwind for Pinterest though. Here’s what you get as a free Tailwind member:

  • Access to 5 Tribes per month. You can make 30 content submissions per month as well.
  • Need more? You can always upgrade your membership to get access to more Tribes using what they call “Power Ups” (similar to Trello). Using Power ups will increase your submissions and give you additional tribe board access per month. Adding more bandwidth won’t break the bank either. Power up start as little as $5 per month.
  • Feel free to try Tailwind with this link. If you’re ready to try something more substantial (like the Pinterest scheduling features and analytics) in addition to having access to Tailwind Tribes, then upgrade your account for $15 per month. (Update April 2019) I have recently upgraded my account and it has been a game changer for my Pinterest account growth.

How Can I Promote My Blog Using Tailwind Tribes?

Using Tailwind Tribes to promote my blog content has seriously helped me establish myself as an affiliate marketer and online entrepreneur. You may have heard a lot of advice on blogging in 2019 (like it’s dead or unnecessary) but I’m here to tell you that if you don’t have a blog to promote your business, you definitely should. Having your own blog gives you the chance to create content that is unique to your audience. Also, if gives you complete control of your business as well. If you are promoting strictly on Instagram, YouTube or other third-party platforms, your business will be lost if those websites or apps suddenly shut down or in the event you get locked out of your account. So please, if you haven’t already, take advantage of creating a blog for your business.

If you already have a blog, then you most certainly should be using Pinterest to create pins related to your blog content and promoting those pins directly on the platform. If not that has not been your strategy with blogging and Pinterest, I’d highly suggest you make that a part of your business model as soon as possible. Use Tailwind Tribes as just another resource to boost your blog content. The more eyes on the pins you create to promote your blog, the more potential re-pins using Tribes and the more traffic to your blog. It’s a win-win solution!

What Are Some Things A Newbie Tribe Member Should Know?

First, know that the Tailwind Tribes community runs deep. That’s a great thing though because you can reach out to talk to almost any community member. To do so, simply click on the little speech bubble on the bottom right side of your screen, select a member and start chatting them directly.

Next, it is important to know that every tribe is unique and many have their own rules. Those rules are drafted by the person who created the tribe. For an example of this, you can join my Tailwind Tribes for affiliate marketing bloggers. Joining will give you some practice using the Tribes feature, while gaining more exposure to your pins.

And finally, some people get overwhelmed at the thought of having to re-pin hundreds of community member’s content. However, it is best not to worry about that. Unless the tribe you join requires you to re-pin all content as a condition of membership, then you have free reign to re-pin what makes sense for your audience and your brand.

Sure, people usually prefer member to re-pin as much as they can in the tribe. However, you have to stay true to your brand and true to your audience. That’s how you build trust. So if something a Tribe member pins doesn’t flow with your style or you know your audience will not receive the information well, then don’t re-pin it. Also, Tailwind has made it easy to hide pins that you are not interested in re-pinning.

*Bonus. If you start your own tribe, you can dictate the pinning term and regulate the group pins how you see fit. For example, as a Tribe creator, you have the power to delete pins from the tribe or remove people from the group who violate your terms (like spamming the tribe, posting vulgar content, etc.). Which brings me to my next topic…

How Can I Start My Own Tribe?

Once you start getting the hang of Tailwind Tribes, you can start your own. It’s a very simple process too. All you have to do is click the “create new tribe” button and fill out the information provided. Being in control of your own tribe is fun. You can invite whomever you want and really tailor it to fit the needs of your brand and your audience. For example, you can create a tribe for bloggers in a select group. Or you can create the tribe based on a topic your audience finds relevant. Whatever you choose, you can use Tailwind Tribes as a great place to network and collaborate with content creators you find interesting.

Is Tailwind Tribes Worth It?

Definitely! Listen, I have tried all type of paid advertisements for my business. I’ve done Facebook Ads. I’ve used Google Ads. I’ve done some Instagram promoted posts and paid ads as well. In the game of online marketing, one thing is for sure: People pay for reach. With Tailwind Tribes, you do not have to pay to get the same type of reach you would with paid advertisement. The great thing about this tool is that the reach and exposure you gain is genuine and organic. And best of all? It has potential to keep growing over time, without you spending a dime.

Every week I log into my Tailwind account and see that my numbers have continued to grow. And I have already established that the more people see my pins, the more they are directed back to my Pinterest Board and ultimately to my blog.

My Results From Using Tailwind Tribes

I’m all for using the free version of Tailwind Tribes for newbie affiliate marketers and bloggers trying to maintain costs as they start their business. That makes sense. But, if you were to ask me what tools I would have paid for upfront when starting my affiliate marketing business, I would hand-down name Tailwind Tribes as on of my top three. In a nutshell, here’s why:

My content + 5 Tailwind Tribes = More audiences to share my content on Pinterest

That ultimately means more traffic to my blog. And my blog is where I make more of my money than any other medium.

So again, feel free to try Tailwind below. If you’re ready to something more substantial (like the Pinterest scheduling features and analytics) in addition to having access to Tailwind Tribes, then upgrade your account. I have the upgraded account and it has been a game changer for not just my Pinterest engagement, but my blog (and income) as well.

Why I Stopped Building Landing Pages the Hard Way

If you've ever sat down to build a landing page and immediately felt overwhelmed by the blank screen staring back at you, you're not alone. For a long time, I was in that same spot. Drag-and-drop builders help, but they still take time. And when you're running a solo online business, time is the one thing you don't have enough of.

That's why I started experimenting with using Claude AI to build my landing pages for me. And what I found changed how I approach the whole thing. In this post, I'm going to walk you through exactly how I do it, step by step, so you can start doing the same.

What You Need Before You Start

You don't need to be a developer for this. You don't need to know HTML. You just need two things: a Claude AI account (the free version works for basic pages) and a Systeme.io account (also free to start).

That's it. If you have both of those, you're ready to go.

Step One: Writing the Right Prompt for Claude

This is where most people get stuck. They open Claude, type something vague, and get back something that doesn't really work. The fix is being specific.

Your prompt needs to include your product name, what the offer is, your brand colors, and what you want the page to do. For example, you might tell Claude: 'Build me a Systeme.io-compatible landing page for a digital product called [Product Name]. The offer is [what it includes and what it costs]. Use a dark navy background with red accent colors. Include a headline, features section, countdown timer, and a buy button.'

That level of detail gives Claude enough to work with. The more specific you are, the better the output.

Step Two: Getting the HTML From Claude

Once you submit your prompt, Claude is going to generate a block of HTML code. This usually takes about one to two minutes. When it's done, you'll see a full page of code on your screen.

Don't panic. You don't need to read it or understand it. All you need to do is hit the copy button and move on to the next step.

Step Three: Importing the Code Into Systeme.io

Now you'll head over to your Systeme.io dashboard. Create a new blank page and give it a name. Once you're inside the page editor, look for the HTML element in the sidebar and drag it onto your blank canvas.

Click on that HTML element, go to 'Edit Code,' delete the placeholder text that's already in there, and paste in the code you copied from Claude. Hit save.

At this point, you'll see your page take shape. It might not look perfect yet, but the structure is there.

Step Four: Fixing the Padding Issues

Here's something that trips up a lot of people. Systeme.io adds default padding to every element on the page. So when you paste in your HTML, you might notice a white bar at the top or gaps where there shouldn't be any.

The fix is simple. Click on the section that's causing the issue. Look for the padding settings, usually labeled in the element options. Drop the top and bottom padding down to zero. Do this at both the section level and the row level. Once you save, those gaps should clear up.

Step Five: Checking the Mobile View

After your desktop version looks clean, always check the mobile view. Claude does a solid job with mobile-friendly code, but the font sizes can sometimes come out a little large on smaller screens.

If that's the case, just go back to Claude and ask it to adjust the font sizes for mobile. Something like: 'Can you update the HTML so the heading text is smaller on mobile screens?' Claude will spit out a revised version of the code. Copy it, paste it back into Systeme.io, and you're done.

The Hybrid Approach: AI Plus Drag-and-Drop

One thing I want to be clear about. When you build a page this way, you can't use Systeme's drag-and-drop tools to edit text or buttons directly. Because the entire page is HTML, those elements don't work the same way. Every change has to go through Claude.

That's why I recommend what I call a hybrid approach. Use Claude to build the sections that are design-heavy, like your hero banner or feature blocks. Then use Systeme's native tools for the simpler pieces that you'll want to tweak often, like your opt-in form or your footer.

This gives you the speed of AI and the flexibility of the builder. Best of both worlds.

How Fast Is This Really?

Here's my honest answer. From opening Claude to having a live page preview in Systeme.io, I've done it in under 10 minutes. The prompting takes about 30 seconds. The code generation takes about two minutes. The import and padding fixes take another five minutes or so.

Compare that to spending 30 to 60 minutes building a page from scratch, and this method isn't even close. It's faster every single time.

Final Thoughts on Using AI to Build Landing Pages

If you've been putting off building your funnel because the tech feels like too much, this is your sign to just start. You don't need design skills. You don't need to hire a developer. You just need to know how to write a decent prompt.

Claude handles the code. Systeme.io hosts the page. You just put the pieces together. That's the whole thing.

I've put together a full video walkthrough that shows this process live from start to finish. If you want to see it in action, you can check that out on my YouTube channel.
