Is Kartra For You?

The best part about Kartra is having everything in-house. That means you don't have to hire teams of developers and system integrators to grow your business to the next level.

If you are tired of keeping track of "X" amount of business tools that aren’t compatible with each other, then this is the solution for you.

It's also for those who want to spend less time configuring software and more time on what's important, and that's making sales!

Kartra Features?

As if you didn't already know, Kartra comes jam packed with awesome features to help take your business to the next level. So let's take a brief look at some of those features.

Done For You Campaigns:

Along with the slew of tools to build your online business, Kartra also provides the done-for-you funnel campaigns from legendary marketer Frank Kern.

What I really like about this, is that it allows you to leverage campaigns that are 90% done-for-you. The other 10% is up to you.

That's it! Kartra makes campaign design simple.

Kartra Email Marketing:

Kartra has their own built in email marketing. Which means you're saving money by not having to purchase a 3rd party provider.

With any email marketing software, you can add leads manually or import a list on CSV, which is very useful for those switching from their current email service provider.

Kartra Help Desk:

Normally when it comes to setting up a help desk, you have to look for a 3rd party option like Freshdesk. Not with Kartra though.

Their plans come with a specific number of help desks to easily assist your customers/clients.

All of this can be done straight from their platform and you don't have to front the bill for yet another software.

Kartra Membership Sites:

Membership sites are the new craze and Kartra's are the best!

You want the ability to be paid for your hard earned work and knowledge. Building courses are no simple task and no one wants their membership content stolen and shared across the internet for free.

Kartra's editor allow you to quickly drag and drop to create your membership site with ease.

You can also have multiple memberships tiers along with dripping content so your customers/students don't get overwhelmed.

Is Kajabi For You?

So, the idea behind Kajabi is to let you build and run your entire online course business from a single platform, so that you don't need to hack together or learn to use several different plugins or services.

At its core, Kajabi's strength is in it membership platform capabilities. If your business relies heavily on course production, then this is definitely for you.

Kajabi Features

You may already be aware of this, but Kajabi comes with a host of nice features.

Website:

Kajabi takes a different approach with their site themes. They have archived 10 of the 11 themes and focus just on the Premier Theme

They have developed the Premier Theme into a flexible framework that they use to build all their new site themes. These themes are now called Layout Presets and currently there are 6 different Presets available in their library, all of which are built on the "Premier Framework".

Kajabi Page Builder:

To fully customize your website, you'll need to use the page builder. The page builder is a visual, drag-and-drop editor where you can make changes on the front end of your website.

The page builder interface is clean and it is very well designed from an user experience point of view. All the existing sections on your page are listed on the left and on the right, you'll see a live preview of your page.

Email Marketing:

When it comes to email marketing, Kajabi allows you to do much more than just sending broadcast emails to your subscribers and members.

First and foremost, you can create automated email sequences which are sent based on user actions. So, you can send an automated email campaign to nurture your new subscribers or you can create one to launch you course.

Customer Support and Training:

Kajabi stands out among all the online course platforms with their excellent support. Their customer support has always been excellent and they are one of the few course platforms to offer 24/7 Live Chat Support.

So, if you're stuck or if you need any help with your Kajabi site, you can simply reach out to their support via chat and they will help you out.

kajabi pricing

Kajabi's pricing starts at $149/month and the lowest tier is called the Basic Plan. The Basic Plan allows you to create up to 3 Products and 3 Sales Pipelines.

The next tier is called the Growth Plan and costs $199/month. The Growth Plan allows you to create more number of products and pipelines as well as have more members on your site.

The final tier is called the Pro Plan and costs $399/month. The Pro plan allows you to create 100 products and 100 pipelines. Also gives you 3 websites. What I find odd is they give you less marketing emails?

You also get access to two features which aren't available on the Basic Plan - Affiliate Marketing and Automations.

Kartra vs Kajabi: Whats My Final Opinion?

Who wins the showdown between the better business solutions?

As an affiliate marketer and from the perspective of one, I'd have to say Kartra is the clear winner over Kajabi.

Let's keep it real. Kartra has the better pricing and gives you more for your buck. While I believe Kajabi has a better membership platform, what they offer definitely isn't enough to over shadow the plentiful features you get with Kartra.

So if your primary focus is to build quality membership sites, then go with Kajabi. But if you want a more robust business solution, including a fully capable membership platform at a cheaper price, then the WINNER is Kartra!

  • Hey Mike, thank you for your thorough full Kartra review that you’ve linked in from this article. I’m confused about your statements there, “I believe it will never be a suitable replacement for a WordPress website if SEO is something you hold in regard.” and “I could never replace that aspect of my business with an all in one solution.” I’m not an expert in online marketing or Kartra, but they are stating on their site that you can 1) embed Kartra pages on your WordPress blog using a Javascript code, and 2) you can use Yoast SEO to SEO-optimize those embedded pages, because Yoast will still pull the source code from WordPress. Plus, Kartra has SEO tools built-in and a guy on YouTube has demonstrated how easily he’s ranked his pages on the first page using only those. What do you think about these?

By the way, this comment keeps getting marked as spam there, I wonder if it’ll get posted here.

    • Hey Attila! Thanks for the comment!

I’m not doubting the ability to rank pages using Kartra!

I’m coming from a position on using one platform over the other (Kartra over WordPress) for blogging purposes. As far as using them together is a different topic that I would need to explore more. I just know that WordPress is the most popular platform and the one I’ve personally used for years to rank websites is the best, in my opinion, to get the most from your SEO as a blogger. At the end of the day, you can rank on the first page with any platform as long as you know how to use the platform for your SEO needs. WordPress just happens to be the platform I’m most comfortable with for that specific purpose and I’m going to clear my statement up a little more.

But I do like that you can use Kartra within WordPress but it still isn’t a replacement for WordPress in my opinion.

  • Thanks for the comparison. I’ve been looking at both. I am an online art course builder just starting out and have been using Mailchimp, Samcart, Squarespace, Vimeo. The incentive is definitely having everything all in one place.
